Trend Talk: Peplum



One of my favorite trends this summer, the peplum design. I am currently searching for a pretty peplum top but I have yet to find one! I am heading to Hong Kong on Sunday and hope to find one at my trip there :D

I just love how it hides the unflattering parts of our body ( *coughs* belly ) and a peplum dress is so good for transitioning from work to parties so well!

Do you like this trend or is it a trend you are shunning away from?

    Unfortunately, peplum things emphasize my rear, which I do NOT need to do. Hope you find one that works for you though

    I love the peplum look! But its something I wont be attempting myself. I agreee that it is really goog for those who wants to 'hide' their belly but its quite fitted and so does not look good on someone like me with a large chest- too much emphasis! My sisters look fantastic in them and so would you!

    I love the look of peplum too! It's so feminine. I own one peplum blouse but would love to own more. There is such a nice variety of peplum apparel to choose from. I like how the peplum blouse and pleated skirt look together in the center photo above.

    yes i love the peplum look too! but you have to find the right fit for you i actually have bigger hips compared to my waist so it can be a little tricky not too over emphasize the hips

    I love peplum shirts a lot better than peplum skirts. The shirts are cute and have a bit of a vintage vibe. I tried on a peplum skirt and I didn't like the bulky feeling of the unnecessary extra fabric. I think the shirts are way flattering though!
