Dress - Forever 21
Leggings - Bugis Street
Scarf as headband - Online
Shoes - Topshop
It was still early after I finished my paper yesterday so I went home to rest & change into my new Forever21 fringed dress! I love the tiers, I love the fringe, it is sucha fun dress to wear! Both the boyf's & my mother calls it the dancing dress! The scarf was a last minute addition because I couldn't find anything that goes & it was hanging in my wardrobe! The boyf says that everyone goes through an all black phase. I guess that's true, wearing all black is just much easier than wearing all red or all green?!
We walked so much yesterday that my legs were aching even when I got home. Isn't it weird ( & frustrating ) that when you have the money there is absolutely nothing to buy?! I wanted so badly to reward myself wit a nice dress/skirt or even better, shoes! But no, I didn't see anything I liked..
The boyf got a pair of awesome Macbeth shoes at 40% off though :) Anyway, I did get something that made me super happy. THE TALES OF THE BEEDLE & THE BARD. While everyone is going crazy for Twilight. I, remain loyal to Harry Potter. No offense to Twilight fans. But I hate it when they compare Twlight & Harry Potter. It is just wrong. There was even a poll which Harry Potter lost.Honestly. Even though JK Rowling cruelly killed off Sirius & Fred. I still consider it one of the best books ever written. & honestly, I read a lot. Like seriously, JK Rowling created a world of magic!
So please, you can go crazy for Twilight. But please, please don't compare it wit Harry Potter.
Love it, Qin! Especially the accessories!

P.S. I can TOTally see you in a long jumpsuit - must get!
Ooooh lovely dress (not that I have one similar or anything...). Love how you're wearing it during the day!! Do you find it gets caught on things (people, doors, other objects)?
ReplyDeletei love harry potter and twilight both. and i can't really see how they could both be compared really... they're so different!
ReplyDeletelove the all black<3
Hi there-such a cute dress, and i agree about the black phase, my last few purchases have all been black, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love your Bag!
ReplyDeleteI love your fringed dress and those shoes...they are adorable!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm neither a Twilight nor Harry Potter fan, so I don't really have a side to take there.
That's so funny!:)
ReplyDeleteWe've got in Poland summer holidays from the end of June till 1 September, or if you study at the University from middle July till 1 October;))).
How long does your holiday take?:)
I love those gold flats, so cute! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, by the way ;)
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Tara
I want a long jumpsuit too!! and I love HP!! It´s the best book fantastic book ever!!! And I also read a lot, but HP is all about magic and dreams!!
ReplyDeleteI love your fringe dress! I try one in H&M but it was a M and looks too big on me... so i´m waiting to catch another one in primark or somewhere.
x
thank you! harry potter will forever be my favorite. The only thing really in common between harry potter and twilight is that they are both mega-succesful. they're about two seperate things. you can't compare.
ReplyDeletei love that bag
ReplyDeleteYou look so chic! I think Harry Potter is much better than Twilight too. In fact, Twilight, as a book, is pretty horrid on all accounts.
ReplyDeletevery pretty outfit!
ReplyDeleteYou look so awesome, I love your gold flats.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh The Tales of Beedle the Bard!! I still need my copy! I don't like when people compare Twilight and Harry Potter either. I think J. K. Rowling should definitely be given credit for creating an entire world to get lost in. I am planning on reading Twilight over winter break, though...
ReplyDeleteAll-black is much easier than any other monochrome, but I can never stick to one color for long. It's like I have color ADD. The dress looks really pretty! I wish there were a picture of you spinning around so you could see the fringe in action!
Love the fringe dress, and I completely agree. I hate when I have money but I can't find anything worth spending it on.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you got the The Tales of Beadle & The Bard. I love the Harry Potter series! Twilight though? Not so much. I haven't touched a Twilight book, and I don't think I ever will.
i love your bag!!!
ReplyDeletemaybe you can send it to me as a christmas present? *haha*
the whole outfit is gorgeos!
yey for fringe dresses! :) looks amazing on you. and love that you paired it with a skull headscarf. looking cute as always! i just got a long jumpsuit from a thrift store. i wish you luck in finding the perfect one.
ReplyDeletei very much like your all black phase :) oh man, do i ever know what you're talking about! i can never find anything at the mall/thrift store these days! arrrrg at humanity!
ReplyDeleteI'm not into Twilight at all, haha. Haven't read the books, but maybe I'll watch the movie to see what the rage is all about.
ReplyDeleteBlack is chic!
I've never read Twilight, but everyone is raving about it. How were the Tales?
ReplyDeleteoh, you got the tales of the beedle and the bard!! I love Harry Potter <3
ReplyDeleteI always love your photos! And you can never go wrong with black can you?
ReplyDeletetarget had a really cute fringe dress, but i am too afraid i will clumsily snag it on something and ruin it!
ReplyDeletemy best friend has a long john onesie thing from american apparel. it's quite cozy!
that's a really cute dress, indeed. I think it's nice to alter between black and colourful outfits once in a while.
ReplyDeletethat's a really cute dress, indeed. I think it's nice to alter between black and colourful outfits once in a while.
ReplyDeleteNice bag!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress :)
kisses!
LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteAnd i totally agree...Harry Potter wins by far over Twilight. She created an entire world!
I really want to get the beatle and the bard. I love Harry Potter, every day you can hear me go on about how great it would be to be a wizard. I love Twilight too for different reasons, and I thought Harry Potter was better written. Sorry if that was comparing them, it's kinda hard to, since they are so different.
ReplyDeleteBelle
adorable. i love how its all monochrome with pops of metallic.
ReplyDeletethe dress is beautiful! i love it!
ReplyDeleteI love your dress!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I completely agree with you about twilight and harry potter. There really isnt a comparison, they are totally different from each other. I love them both though lol
I love how you spruced up this outfit with accessories! The bangles are really cute.
ReplyDeleteAnd it bothers me so much when people compare Twilight to HP, too! I love Twilight, but I am a way bigger fan of Harry Potter. And I would NEVER compare the towo!
*Tina
P.S. I want a long jumpsuit as well. :)
I haven't read Twilight and I only read the first Harry Potter. I need to read more often xD
ReplyDeleteThis jumpsuit is really cool: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=140286140699

ReplyDeleteadd my..i need shopping guide from u!huhu
why do you always look so gosh darn cute? :)
ReplyDeletei completely agree with you! ive read Twilight, and while I am addicted, they are no comparison to Harry Potter! I mean harry potter is like a whole different fantasy world! its way more than just a "love story with some sci-fi" like you said, its a whole world of MAGIC!!...and by the way Cedric Diggory beats Edward in my book!
and i completely agree with your comment, school is tiring! I too never have the energy or time to blog after school, and my schoolwork and extracurriculars take priority over my blog :( well, I guess its just about trying to have a balancing act...
hope you have a great week! sorry this comment is so long! :D
i dont think ive really seen you in all black, but i love it on you!! you are always toooo damn cute! Twilight was OKAY, the only reason i actually like it is because dude is sooooo hot!
ReplyDeleteYou look AMAZING here!!! I adore the outfit, the all-black really suits you, you wear it so well. Gosh, these images have inspired my whole day! Thank you thank you, you are STUNNING!
ReplyDeletexx
ooh QIN! i love this outfit! can i have your dress? haha :) is f21 also cheap in sing. like in the US? i wanna go there during the august sale... wud u recommend it?
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit, especially the bag. I totally want to read The Tales of the Beedle and the Bard--when they only released like 6 limited edition handmade copies of it, I was afraid they wouldn't release it for everyone. I love Harry Potter.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I agree with you so much on this you don't even know. Anyway, I'm so jealous you have the beedle and the bard. I've been wanting it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I like the all black on you it's something rare to see you do.
You look amazing!!!!! Love the gold mary janes((:
ReplyDeleteAnyway; do check out POA at Paragon; they've got AMAZING dresses; at; slightly expensive prices; but it's totally worth it!
OMG sweetie you look great. I love your fringe dress (I want a fringe dress, now :(...) and your golden shoes.
ReplyDeleteBut I can see a pop of colour in your great accessories ;)
Have a great time, hmmmm.... I hope Santa reads your blog and will get you a jumpsuit... I can see you gorgeous in one.
xoxo

The headband looks so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love your all black look! The fringed dress is lovely and I can totally see why you guys call it "the dancing dress"! I love the scarf/headband too!
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I tagged you with a tag I invented myself! :)
ReplyDeleteI went thru an all black phase too, but mine was more 'grunge'. My dad didn't like it at all ^^ Now I occasionally wear all black, but not that much anymore.
Hey, fellow Harry Potter fan! I think it's a shame that people compare it to Twilight too. I mean, it's totally different - not well-written at all!
I still love Harry Potter, and I don#t like Twilight.
I read a lot too - lately I really love literature ^^ - I mean, I've been reading forever, but now I'm reading my first book by Tolstoj ^^ hehe.
you look adorable as always!!! ooh a long jumpsuit eh?? i ordered on recently from ebay! i still need to wear it though..

1. you look fabulous, that fringed dress is just wow! and it must be so much fun to twirl in. your all black look is great.
ReplyDelete2. in regards to the last paragraph... YES. Harry Potter was my childhood, and i've read all of twilight, and it can't compare for me. i can't wait to get my hands on beedle the bard.
XXX

there's something so sophisticated about all black, i've always thought the goths are on to something! can't wait to read it...
ReplyDeleteCute! Love how you added color with your bracelets :)
ReplyDeleteFringe dress, yay!
ReplyDeletehot hot hot! i saw this dress at f21 and didn't think much of it. you're making me think otherwise, now.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when they compare HP to Twilight as well. And Twilight winning a poll against harry potter...???CMON! That is so rigged!
ReplyDeletehaha.
I wanna get tales of the beetle and the bard too. sounds cool.
I was looking forward to seeing the new harry potter movie this year but i think it got moved to 2009 because of twilight..argggh.
i love your shoes!!!

ReplyDeletetotal black is always a good decision! you look´s great !!
ReplyDeleteI love the scarf!
I really love the fringe dress ! I want the same !
ReplyDeleteI love your Harry Potter loyalty! You should check out Ursula K. LeGuin's "The Earthsea Trilogy" if you like JK Rowling.
ReplyDeletethank you :)
ReplyDeleteohh i love that dress!
i'm going to a fancy dress party next month, and i'm wearing a fringed dress because i'm going as a flapper girl from the 20s. I hope it looks half as good on me as it does on you!!
and i totally agree with the whole money/nothing to buy thing. everytime I scrounge and save for months, whenever i go to the shops there is nothing. my friends get rather angry with me! haha
xx
you look fabulous in black, this bag is just amazing!!
ReplyDeletea kiss girl!
you look great. simple but chic
ReplyDeleteand yes mickey mouse is cool. I love disney :P
I love your outfit! I really like the shoes and scarf (:
ReplyDeleteI don't understand how people can compare Twilight and Harry Potter either, saying that Twilight is "the new Harry Potter." I do like Twilight, but Harry Potter will always just be way more amazing. You just can't beat it. That's so cool that you got the Tales of Beedle and Bard!
I would love a long jumpsuit too :D
ReplyDeleteI would love a long jumpsuit too :D
ReplyDeleteI love flapper dresses! ^-^
ReplyDeleteI haven't gone through a b;ack phase but i'm going through a pink and orange phase. Your glasses are cute
ReplyDeletei just love you, you are always so well put together!
ReplyDeletethe shoes are perfect <3
Oh little chicita, what a lovely dress! you look adorable, as usual. Oh, how I miss the Potter series. I was going through my book shelf the other day , and wanted to start reading it all over again.
ReplyDeleteI have given you an award on my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI really love your dress and ur purse. So nice. That pic of u and your boy, so funny! really cute together :D
ReplyDeleteI also love HP, though I didn't think the last book was that good, I was quite disappointed
I don't know why you're images always load so slow for me... but while I'm waiting, let me say thank you so much for your sweet comment, I am so glad you like my blog, it means a lot to me! <3
ReplyDeleteAnd now that the pictures have loaded, I just love the all black look, and your outfit looks so comfortable as well! :)
xoxo,
S-C
cute dress and i am sure santa is reading your blog about the jumpsuit.
ReplyDeletethe bag is stunning :-)
ReplyDeleteQin!!! It's not nice to taunt me with such a cute dress from F21 :o( it's totally gorgeous though. I'm going through a very black phase at the moment, I normally hate black but I'm definately taking a walk on the dark side
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of hard to see the fringes in the picture, but I'm sure it's fun to spin around in! I am also a devoted fan of Harry Potter and don't feel the two books can be compared. One is fantasy adventure and one is fantasy romance, they are two different genres!
ReplyDeletescarf + bag, you always look so cute
ReplyDeleteAhhhh all black! That could be me lol
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome :)

Su

When you have no money, you have a million things to buy. When you have the money, everything is ugly. It's so wrong but true!
ReplyDeleteHi, you've got an award! You can find it at my blog! (You look lovely, and a jumpsuit will probably fit you perfectly!)
ReplyDelete-Johanne
I haven't read any of the twilight books yet but I'm with you abut the HP books. Great scarf.
