Chinese New Year Outfit



Lace Dress - Forever 21
Headband - Forever 21
Shoes - Zouk Flea Market

Top - Forever 21

I am wearing this Forever 21 lace dress tomorrow for the first day of Chinese New Year! :) I took a picture of the outfit today because there will be so many people at my house tomorrow & I will feel weird taking a picture in front of all of them!

The dress reminded me so much of Prada Fall 2008 that I had to get it! The black lace & scallopped hem are so beautiful. My mother didn't like that I am wearing black for CNY. Ah well, there is also another tradition of wearing new clothes on CNY & this is my only piece of new clothing. So why not !;) Plus it's tight fitting so it'll remind me not to eat so many CNY goodies! & I think the high collar is very Chinese!

The tutu skirt outfit is what I am wearing today for the reunion dinner! I hope my relatives don't think I am out of my mind..

I love this collection SO much! The coats wit huge collars, fur trimmed vest, trenchcoat, military jacket & the leather jackets. My, I will wear every single piece if I have the $$$! Love the volume & structure of the clothes.

Did I mention how fierce the models' hair are?! This collection is just, perfect!

    I LOVE THAT TUTU OUTFIT! so adorable that skirt looks soo good on you! the girls in London wear them so short that they show their bums...and they are also see through so I do not know where they are going! and HUH! You wore black! lol u modernsisng the traditions eh? dress looks nice still! I will hopefully fit into my new skirt I got, which I will wear on new years celebration in China Town next week...

    I guess it depends on what fabric you want to stud. This was pretty easy cause it was a stretch and pretty thin so I could just push the studs through with my hands, they have two sharp points which you then push down to secure. but for a thicker/tougher fabric like denim leather or something you might need some kind of pliers or something I'm not sure just experiment. Yeah sorry I'm not very good in my explanation!

    i got bored of season 2 (dont bother it sucks) but the third was quite good. i stopped halfway through that though and went back to season 1 cos i was confused. give it a go though! xx

    I had a hard time getting the studs on at first too. Hammering didn't seem to work. Then I tried hot gluing - a disaster! Next came the superglue, which didn't work either. Finally, I realized by using a razor, knife, or some sharp pointy object you could easily slice an opening for the studs to go through. Then the prongs aren't that hard to bend flat with your hands.
