Alexander Wang Fall 2009
This is the collection I have been waiting for! Especially after NYmag asked the designers to use one word to describe their collections & his was " Carnivores ".
Firstly let's look at the non-earring earring collaboration wit Paris Kain of AbraxasRex.
I hardly wear earrings as I am really afraid of piercing my ears & clip ons are just really uncomfortable! Alexander Wang's version, which wraps around the ear just solves my problem! The spines sticking out just makes the concept even more brilliant.
Accessories
How amazing are those boots?! The details of fringe, studs & straps just makes the shoes even more drool worthy. Plus, they are flats!! The bags are equally awesome especially the bag wit the studs at the bottom that Mary Kate Olsen was spotted carrying not long ago!
That bangle is a definite must have in every bangle collection!

I wasn't liking the crocodile biker shorts at first but it honestly grew on me! My favourites are the mini dresses & the cropped blazer wit a really fierce pair of pants wit studs ( I suppose ) at the sides! The sheer fabrics & the toga feel of the dresses are awesome & the hats are just, love.

I like - very much - the reptile leather printed. (let it be the original one or a copy merely.) I'm not popular with the protectors of the animals, sure because of this. I have many pieces like this. There is a vintage crocodile printed (?) black leather bag at me, now. Did your eyes open wide? Answer: I work. :( unfortunetly.

ReplyDeleteThose earrings look a bit like hearing aids ^^ I have a scr on my earlobe, so I can't wear earrings either... But I used to have both ears pierced. It's not that bad, really!
I like those black crocodile skin [?] accessoires. Although I don't like the shorts from that fabric.
That dress in the 7th picture is really awesome though.
My particular favorites here are his one shoulder white and black dresses. I love the sheer overlay and long sleeve; the entire collection is so sexy, but in a surprising style, heightened by all that black and white!

those earring are a good idea! i have had badd experiences with ear piercings. nothing serious just.. they keep closing up. i pierced my ears twice, and now just have a hole in the left one which i just wear a stud in.

i love mk's studded purse--lately i've really been into accessories and shoes that feature studs, shiny buckles, etc.

Those second boots and mary kates bag are to die for, if I had wanted anything for valentines days either of those would have led to life long love :-) that bangle looks dangerous!! I know I would definitely cause some damage to myself if I was to wear it, I'm such a klutz.

The Alexander Wang collection, who cannot resist his temptations in design? "STRONG! WILD! POWERFUL! SAVAGE! BEAST!" Sounds like a string of words I would yell into the mirror while giving myself a pick-me-up after a long rut. Haha.

ReplyDeleteWow, that's an interesting idea for earrings. My ears have been pierced since the age of 3 but I hardly wear earrings! I normally just lose them and so if I did wear them often, I would find myself having to buy new ones everyday!
